The Verdugo HUUT is a fairly diverse affair, with both red and white wine and a great selection of pews to sit in, if your body is equipped to sit (The HUUT does not discriminate against cyborgs or sentient machines). But our September 17 show, “Suffragette City,” tests that tradition by having an all-woman lineup for a celebration of voting rights, the 19th amendment, the ERA that almost passed, and … Disney princesses.
It is rumored there might be a David Bowie and/or “Schoolhouse Rock” song in there somewhere, too.
Join your host Marty Barrett (he’s only there to turn the lights on) and HUUT favorites Cynthia Brando, Lisa Finnie, Carol McArthur, and Carla Rudy for an evening of songs, stories, and surprises. Our wish for you is that you leave the show with your batteries charged, with your ears full of music, knowing a few more people, and wondering how you can get a hundred of your friends up the hill for the next one.
General admission tickets are $15, with student/senior citizen tickets at $5. Reservations are strongly recommended. Please email here with your name, number of tickets, and category (general admission or student/senior).
